About the Quebec Entrepreneurship Index
Established in February 2009 by the Fondation de l’entrepreneurship (FDE), the Quebec Entrepreneurship Index (QEI) is the province’s largest survey of current and aspiring entrepreneurs.
It is an important tool in enabling everyone in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including Réseau M, to better understand and support individuals who embark on an entrepreneurial path.
Presented since 2010 by the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, the QEI measures every aspect of the entrepreneurial process (entrepreneurial culture, intention to create a business, the creation process, business ownership, business closure, entrepreneurial succession, growth and innovation plans, exporting, sustainability, external environment, etc.) and defines the corresponding time horizon.
The QEI is a reliable and up-to-date source of information about the realities of entrepreneurship in Quebec, conducted in collaboration with National Bank and iA Financial Group, and in partnership with the National Bank | HEC Montréal Institute for Entrepreneurship (NBIE) and Léger. The survey is carried out on a yearly basis to keep a close eye on the state of entrepreneurship in Quebec as it evolves over time.
